American Idol

I have been a huge fan of American Idol for about three years. It first started becuase I loved to see people make a fool of themselves, in the beginning auditions. Last night as many of you know was the finale for this season, and the winner was David Cook. I am glad Cook won over David Archuleta. I began the season being a fan for David Archuleta though. But as time went on and all Archuleta was singing was ballads, I found my true fanship going over towards Cook, escpecially on idol gives back week. Sure David is a great singer, but i am more glad that he won becuase of the stuff he does off of the stage. He is a great person, who has gone through struggles. As I found out from Rachel, he wears his orange Wristband for one of his fans that has leukemia. He has worn this wristband on everyshow this whole season. His brother has Cancer also. And David himself even has heart troubles, having to go to the hospital after one of his performances a few weeks ago. David Cook hasn't told us this publicly, there have been reports leaking out. One of the reasons why he hasnt told us is that he doesnt want a sympathy vote from us. I know David Cook will do great things with the money that he makes over his career, with donating it to find a cure for cancer and several other charities. For these reasons I believe Cook is an American Idol.

Pink Eye

For the past week my right eye has been iritated like i have something stuck in it i can't get out. I went to the doctor on friday and found out that i have conjunctivitis (pink eye). When i found this out i was stocked, that i wont have to go to work all weekend. But no as usual My boss didn't care since i was taking antibiotics. And again I had to work 1-10 on friday saturday and suday.

Reflection on the weekend.

This weekend was not very much of a break, really to think of it my weekends never really are much of a break. For the past few months I have worked almost every friday saturday and sunday from one to ten, which ends up to be about eleven or eleven thirty. But this weekend i got to get sunday off. On saturday I went body boarding at Salt Creek early in the morning with a couple of friends from red door DJ and Xavier. It was about head high and really powerful, I ended up losing one of my fins. I was really bummed, but it gave me a reason to go by new ones. I got vipers, which I hear are really quick. I haven't used them yet, (hope to later today). After I went to creek i had to go to work from one to ten, which i said earlier ends up to be eleven or eleven thirty. On sunday I stayed home most of the day and did some chores. I did get to catch two of the NBA playoff games, which was fun since i haven't had time to do that in a while. After that I went and saw Ironman with DJ and Edwin. It was really good and i would sugest anyone to go see it. Well that was my weekend, now i get to look forward to school.

Welcome to my blog, I figured it was time to get one of these things. Since it seems like everyone else out there already does. I chose the Name of survival for my blog because being a senior in high school, with a part time job, it seems like that is all I am trying to do is to survive and try to make a difference in this world. I plan on keeping you informed about what is going on in my life, and things that i see throughout the day that make me go WOW, and hopefully allow you to see something in a different view that maybe you didn't think about before.
